Announcing Traq v3.9.0-alpha.3
Alpha 3 is out, only a few days after alpha 2. Work on 3.9 has picked up speed lately, so there's a fair bit in this one. Mostly I've been pulling out old frontend code and tidying up routes, plus fixing a few things that were broken.
⚠️ Alpha Release Warning
This is an alpha release and should NOT be used in production. If you want to test it on an existing install, backup your database first. I will not be held responsible for any loss of data.
What's in alpha 3
The short version:
jQuery UI and Axios are gone
jQuery UI has been removed, and so has Axios. I rewrote the tooltips and overlays in TypeScript without jQuery, and the ticket list, related tickets and profile tickets now use plain fetch. There's still some jQuery left in there, which will be dealt with before beta.
Proper HTTP methods
Routes now use GET, POST, PUT and DELETE where they should. That covers tickets, wiki, milestones, components, members, custom fields, groups, users, roles, types, statuses, priorities, severities, admin settings, projects and plugins. The bundled plugins (custom tabs, reCaptcha and security questions) have been updated to match.
Things that were broken
The wiki edit page, ticket relations, custom field editing and an error on the ticket list are all fixed. Moving tickets, sorting them and deleting timeline events should work properly now too.
Password reset and installer
I reworked the password reset process. The installer now checks whether Traq is already installed more reliably, and creating the config file is less fragile.
Under the hood
Avalon, the framework Traq runs on, has been updated, along with a few type definitions.
